ないまぜ【綯い交ぜ】

1 〔性質の違うものを混ぜ合わせること〕 a (miscellaneous) mixture; a jumble.

●ないまぜにする blend [mix, weave] 《fact and fiction》 (together)

・史実と虚構とをないまぜにしながら物語は展開する. History and fiction are combined [woven together] as the story unfolds.

・怒りと悲しみがないまぜになった感情 emotions of mingled anger and sorrow; 《feel》 a mixture of anger and grief.

2 〔色違いなどの糸をより合わせること〕 making a colored cord by twining together threads 《of various colors》; 〔より合わせたひも〕 a cord of multicolored threads.
